Samsung Galaxy S
Here is the Samsung Galaxy S review. This phone was first released in 2010 and is a direct competitor of the iPhone. In fact, it looks very much like an iPhone 3GS. This phone is also known as the Captivate (AT&T), Vibrant (T-Mobile USA) or Fascinate (Verizon).
The Galaxy S comes with a speedy 1GHz processor and runs on Android version 2.1. For storage it has 8GB of internal memory space but if that’s not enough for you you can purchase a 32 gig microSD card and insert it in the extension slot for additional space.
What immediately draws your attention on this phone is the display. It has a rich 800×480 screen resolution. The colors are vibrant and the phone is bright enough to be used on the sunniest of days.
The Samsung Galaxy S comes with two cameras. One on the front and one on the back. The one on the front is a simple VGA quality camera that is meant to be used for video calls. On the back is the much better 5 MP camera. The camera comes with an auto focus and various scene settings. There is no flash on it however which means that you’ll have trouble in dimly lit rooms.
If video is your thing then you can vids in 720p high definition (1280 x 720) at a rate of 30 fps. You can zoom during videos at 4x but only digitally.
The Samsung Galaxy S weighs just 4.2 ounces and is a thin 0.40 inches wide (4.82 inches tall and 2.53 inches wide).
