Cisco added a new design feature to the popular Flip family of pocket video cameras. Its new camera has a 3-inch slide up touchscreen display. It is now easier to capture memorable events and share them too.

In recording mode, the LCD touchscreen displays what the lens sees and also displays the onscreen buttons to shoot and access features. The use of the touchscreen instead of real buttons gives the devices room for a larger screen. In viewing mode, the large screen slides and flips up to show videos or photos and navigate through the user’s stored library.

Cisco’s Flip SlideHD Video Recorder with Touchscreen has 16 GB of storage to record up to four hours of HD video. That is video in 16:9 widescreen, 720p (1280 x 720) at 30 frames per second. The camera can also store up to 12 hours of video and photos in Space Saver format.
