Here is the Samsung Galaxy S review. This phone was first released in 2010 and is a direct competitor of the iPhone. In fact, it looks very much like an iPhone 3GS. This phone is also known as the Captivate (AT&T), Vibrant (T-Mobile USA) or Fascinate (Verizon).

Nokia N8

Category: Cell Phones - Date: April 21, 2011 - Discussion: No comments

Nokia has not had the greatest last couple of years. Their smart phones have consistently failed in a market dominated by companies such as Apple and HTC and their sales have taken a hit because of this. Remarkably though, the Finnish electronics firm are still the world’s biggest selling mobile phone company and outsold their nearest rivals Samsung in the last half of 2010 by 10% of the world market share. This is frightening stuff for Nokia’s rivals as it just means that the company has more time to create the ultimate smart phone as their entry level phones continue to sell in the millions.

This will not last forever though and Nokia has put in place plans for a change in their reputation when it comes to smart phones and the first sign that this plan is being put into place was the release last year of Nokia’s latest high end smart phone the Nokia N8.

Those who made the change were hoping for faster internet speeds and no more dropped calls.

Now that the Verizon iPhone has become available, users who used to be with AT&T and are now with Verizon are reporting their results. The consensus is as follows.

The HTC Desire – Stylish and Capable

Category: Cell Phones - Date: November 22, 2010 - Discussion: No comments

The HTC Desire was launched to absolutely massive acclaim, and deservedly so. It took the smartphone market to a new level in terms of competition and the standard expected. HTC are unwilling to allow the iPhone to be the most desirable handset out there, and chose a name that reflects the standing of their phone perfectly.

The Desire is beautiful without being delicate. The rubbery case and bronze detailing are elegant as well as functional, and the screen is vibrant, even if it lacks the resolution of the iPhone 4. Most importantly, it is light and slim, concealing the true extent of its abilities.
