The original Motorola Razr was one of its most iconic and popular brands, so when it announced its decision to launch a follow up, excitement begin to grow amongst fans. However, this Motorola Razr is not only run on the Google Android operating system but does not have any of the design features associated with its predecessor. That’s not to say it’s not impressive however, with an incredibly thin 7.1mm thick body (at-least most of it anyway) and a 4.3inch high resolution touchscreen.
Motorola was acquired by Google in last year and the inclusion of its Android system was an inevitable result of this move, with the Android 2.3.5 built in. The design is certainly a strange one with the majority of the phone measuring just 7.1mm in width whilst at the top of the phone, it gets thicker. With the amount of features a modern smartphone has, it’s only possible to have it so thin and Motorola took the unusual step of putting them all at the top rather than spread the width of the phone. Despite being thin throughout this top heavy design does make for a strange feel because it still ways 127g in comparison to its predecessor which weighed in at a significantly lighter 95g.
